An applicant for a New Jersey Broker’s license must be a full-time salesperson during the three years immediately preceding their application to take the Broker’s Exam and with no more than 25 hours per week in a non real estate related job.

30 Hour Agency/Ethics Course

The course coverers topics such as fiduciary duties, agency relationships, agency transactions, in-house sales, conflicts of interest, obligations to qualify, disclosure, legal actions, ethical obligations to owner, disclosure procedures, and unethical actions.

30 Hour Office Management Course

Course topics include requirements for opening an office, closings, obtaining legal and accounting advice, fair housing laws, financial record systems, establishing an escrow account, truth in renting laws, office management responsibilities, environmental concerns, supervision and training, licensing requirements, qualification techniques, ethical matters of licensees, attorney review, and office closing procedures.
